Collection: The Nablus Keffiyeh – Woven in Palestine, Worn with Pride

In the heart of Nablus, Palestine, a legacy was born in 1950 when master weaver Marwan Nabulsi, affectionately known as Abu Bassam, established a textile factory dedicated to crafting traditional garments, including the iconic keffiyeh. This factory became a symbol of Palestinian craftsmanship and cultural identity.

However, in 1987, amid the turbulence of the First Intifada, the factory was forced to close its doors, silencing its looms for over three decades. In a remarkable turn of resilience, 2023 marked the revival of this historic establishment. The original looms, operated by skilled artisans, once again began weaving keffiyehs that embody the spirit and perseverance of the Palestinian people.

Each keffiyeh in this collection is meticulously handwoven from 100% cotton, showcasing traditional patterns that have been passed down through generations. The slight variations and occasional loose threads are not imperfections but rather a testament to the authentic, handcrafted nature of these pieces.

By choosing a keffiyeh from this collection, you are not only embracing a piece of Palestinian heritage but also supporting the revival of a family-owned factory that stands as a beacon of cultural resilience.
