Q: Is Hirbawi the only keffiyeh factory in Palestine?
A: Not anymore. Hirbawi was once the last kuffiyah factory in Palestine, but since March 2024, there are now at least two factories! Hala Palestine partnered with a textile factory in Nablus to begin producing Nablus Kuffiyahs. We are proud to create both traditional and contemporary designs.

Q: Can I wear a keffiyeh if I am not Arab?
A: Yes, you can certainly wear a keffiyeh if you are not Arab. The keffiyeh is not only a symbol of Palestinian identity, but also a symbol of solidarity with the Palestinian cause, worn by people of all backgrounds across the world. As Palestinians, we encourage you to wear a keffiyeh with pride.

Q: How do you spell keffiyeh?
A: It's transliterated from Arabic, so it is spelled many different ways.

Q: Does the Palestinian keffiyeh support Palestine?
A: Buying a keffiyeh from us means that your money will go directly to a small business, the Nabulsi textile factory in Palestine.

Q: Are all your products really made in Palestine?
A: Yes, all our products are made in Palestine by local artisans. We are committed to supporting the local economy and preserving Palestinian heritage through traditional craftsmanship.

Q: How can I ensure the size or fit of a product?
A: For products that require sizing, such as clothing or accessories, we provide guidance for sizing on each product page. If you have specific questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

A: Our artisans source their materials locally in Palestine, and we prioritize sustainability and ethical practices. Our aim is to support local suppliers and minimize our environmental impact, all while providing high-quality products to our customers.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the items are in their original condition. Custom and personalized items may be exempt from returns. The cost of return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Please see our Refund Policy page at the footer for more info.

A: Every purchase from our store supports Palestinian artisans directly, as we ensure fair compensation for their craftsmanship. Additionally, we will occasionally feature initiatives and projects on our website and social media where you can contribute further.

Q: How does the occupation impact this business?
A: For makers, it is very difficult to import materials needed for fabrication. Checkpoints cause delays and unreliable outcomes. Many industries have been forced to close. Exports of products out of Palestine are also difficult, and the occupation creates many time-consuming and costly  obstacles.
